Before you install
- No Integrated Shut-Off Valve. The SWM-213E is designed for water measurement only. It cannot remotely open or close the water supply. For remote water shut-off, a separate valve-control product or the SWM-214C model is required.
- Zigbee Gateway Required. A compatible Tuya Zigbee hub is needed for app connectivity. The hub is not included unless specified by the seller.
- App Reporting Frequency. Available product documentation for the SWM-213E indicates that app data is uploaded periodically, with a 24-hour reporting interval listed by one supplier. Do not assume continuous live app updates. Confirm the reporting interval for the supplied version.
- Choose the Correct Pipe Size. Select DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32 or DN40 according to the actual plumbing connection. Consult a qualified plumber before ordering.
- Professional Installation. Correct installation is important for accurate measurements and leak-free plumbing connections.
- Utility Meter Compatibility. This device is intended for additional consumption monitoring. It should not replace or interfere with a water utility's official meter.
- Threshold Alerts. Alerts can help identify unusual usage, but this model does not automatically shut off water during a leak.
